SALT LAKE CITY – The second of two dogs stolen from the Humane Society of Utah Wednesday has been safely recovered Sunday.

According to a press release from the Humane Society of Utah, two girls between the ages of 14 and 16 came to the center Wednesday and spent about an hour with two dogs before allegedly leaving with them.

Bella, a 13-year-old female Chihuahua, was brought home Sunday. Humane society officials said the family that found Bella will likely adopt her.

Titan, a 2-month-old white and tan Chihuahua mix, was returned to the center Saturday. A person found Titan at a party, and when no one took responsibility for the dog that person took the dog home. When the person saw news coverage of the theft, they brought the dog back to HSU.

Law enforcement agencies are working with HSU to find those responsible for the thefts.
