SALT LAKE CITY - Judges and producers for FOX's "So You Think You Can Dance" say they love coming to Utah because they always find outstanding talent, and this season is no exception.

There are at least three Utahns who have made it to the next round, including Utah high school graduate Sierra Jepson.

Sierra says it's her dream to dance, a dream that's getting a boost after she auditioned for SYTYCD this year.

"It's something that gets the dance community involved and brings us all together its such an amazing show so it's just always been a dream pretty much," Sierra said.

Sierra says dancing is in her blood. She started at the age of three in her mother's dance studio.

"I chose family and it's so fun to see her follow her dreams and not live through her, but she's accomplishing everything she wanted to do and she's just going for it and she tries out for something, it's fun to see her drive and she just keeps going," said Jennifer Nugent, Sierra's mom.

Sierra calls herself a contemporary and jazz dancer, but she was trained in ballet and modern. She can't divulge much about her time on SYTYCD, but says being on the show can open doors in the dance world.

"As a dancer, I would love to go into commercial dancing and be a part of the industry or even more the contemporary company . I just want to dance. It's what I want to do and want to do that my whole life," Sierra said.

"So You Think You Can Dance" airs Tuesdays at 7 p.m. MST.
