PROVO, Utah – More details have emerged about the Provo apartment complexes that will become part of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ Missionary Training Center.

The Raintree Commons and Wyview Park apartment complexes will be converted to house about 1,700 LDS missionaries, according to plans submitted by the LDS church. The site will eventually be fully contained, with dining, exercise and service facilities.

Missionaries serving in English-speaking areas will be trained at the site, as will some slated to serve in foreign-language speaking missions.

About two-thirds of the apartments at Raintree will be used as classrooms, but there will not be classes held in Wyview.

Missionaries are expected to occupy the buildings by the end of May, and the full transition is expected to be completed this summer.
