Psychic Sylvia Browne came under fire this week for once telling Amanda Berry’s mother that her missing daughter was dead.

Berry escaped a Seymour Avenue home on the west side of Cleveland Monday after getting a neighbor’s attention who helped to break down the door.

Her bravery also allowed two other women to escape.

They had all been missing for about a decade.

For years, the families sent desperate messages, begging for the return of their loved ones, and in some cases, even sought the input of some unusual sources.

Louwana Miller, Berry’s mother, turned to Sylvia Browne, but did not get the prediction she had hoped for.

“She’s not alive, honey,” Browne told Miller on the Montel Williams Show.

“So do you think I’ll ever see her again?” Miller asked.

“Yeah, in Heaven on the other side,” was Browne’s answer.

Prior to her recovery, Berry was last seen leaving work in April 2003, a day before her 17th birthday.

Miller did not live to see her daughter again. She died in 2006.

Twitter and other online sources blasted Browne over the inaccurate prediction.
