Police seek suspect in attempted abduction

SALT LAKE CITY -- Police are searching for a suspect after he allegedly tried to force a woman into his car as she was returning from dropping her children off at school.

A 27-year-old female was walking home near 938 North Morton Drive, and a man tried to entice her into getting into his car, according to a press release from the Salt Lake City Police Department.

When the female ignored him, the suspect got out of the car and grabbed her by the arm. The suspect tried to force the woman into his car, but she resisted and the male fled.

The suspect is described as 5-foot 6-inch tall Polynesian man between the ages of 18 and 21. He was wearing a white T-Shirt with green stripes and a blue baseball cap.
