SALT LAKE CITY – Peregrine falcons nesting at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building in downtown Salt Lake City have laid their first egg of the season.

The egg was laid Friday morning at about 11:30 a.m., which, according to the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources, is the same day they laid an egg last year

The birds have been nesting in the downtown area since 1984. There is a camera set up to watch the falcons on a live feed. Click here to watch.
