SALT LAKE CITY -- The Salt Lake City Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify potential victims of a sex offender who has been charged in several cases.

William Patrick Estell, 40, told detectives in November of last year he had sexually molested multiple child victims in the course of the last 20 years, according to a press release from the Salt Lake City Police Department.

The detectives arrested Estell, who remains in custody on a nearly $1 million bail. So far he has been charged in four cases.

Detectives have identified multiple victims throughout the investigation, but based on Estell’s information they are aware there are more victims they have not been able to locate, according to the press release.

Due to the limited amount of information Estell provided, they are asking victims of Estell to come forward by calling 801-799-3720. Victims or those with information about victims may also use the department’s anonymous tip service by texting TIPSLCPD to CRIMES (274637)
