SALT LAKE CITY — Although spring has officially begun, snowstorms early Thursday made the roads a bit slick for morning commuters.

Parts of Tooele Valley, Salt Lake County, Davis County received most of the precipitation.

Roadways on the benches may be slushy, but higher temperatures on the valley floors should keep the moisture from freezing.

The storm is expected to pass through the area quickly. Those in northern Utah can expect temperatures in the mid 40s Thursday afternoon.

In southern Utah, there will be some light precipitation in the mountains and a high of around 73 in St. George.
