SALT LAKE CITY – A man accused of killing another inmate at the Utah State Prison was sentenced on Tuesday.
Jacob Ecker will spend five years to life in prison.
He was charged with homicide after officials say he killed his cellmate, 27-year-old Alfonso Lopez in April 2011.
Ecker was already serving time for a series of felonies including attempted kidnapping and attempted aggravated assault.
