BOUNTIFUL – Two teens are accused of entering a 50-year-old Bountiful man’s home, holding him against his will for 12 hours, and robbing him.

According to charging documents, Garrett Todd Sweat allegedly gained entrance to the man’s home on January 7 after mentioning a mutual friend. Sweat then invited Jordan Marie Thornberg into the man’s home without his knowledge.

After the man discovered Thornberg, the two teens allegedly choked the man into unconsciousness using a shoelace before duct taping him to a table and robbing him.

The two allegedly held the man through the night, and they left the next morning after  forcing the man to write them a personal check for $1,100.

Police identified the two because Sweat left his jacket behind with a hospital document referencing his name in the pocket, and the check was made out to Thornberg. Sweat was on felony probation at the time.
