Unemployment rate is down in Utah

SALT LAKE CITY — Utah’s unemployment rate is down to 5.1 percent.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics report shows Utah’s unemployment rate dropped .1 percent from last month.

Jobs also expanded 3.1 percent compared against the employment level for November 2011. More than 37,000 jobs were added.

Currently, more than 69,000 Utahns are considered unemployed.
