PROVO, Utah – Researchers at BYU investigated Utahns’ unique way of dropping Ts into words.

The study found that many Americans drop the Ts in their words, but Utahns do it a little differently.

While many Americans drop their Ts through their nose, but Utahns drop their Ts through their mouths, so Utahns often pronounce things like “mountain” and “button” in a distinct way.
