SALT LAKE CITY – New charges have been filed against a man who prompted a standoff at the airport in July

Brian Ray Skidmore faces charges for allegedly discharging a firearm and failing to respond to an officer’s command, both third degree felonies. He’s also facing a class A misdemeanor and two class B misdemeanor charges.

He pleaded not guilty to all charges.

On July 22, a man on an ATV told police Skidmore shot at him. After a 3-hour search and standoff, officers were able to bring Skidmore into custody.
