Gov., SLC Mayor to announce possible bid for Olympics

SALT LAKE CITY – On Monday, Utah Governor Gary Herbert and Salt Lake City Mayor Ralph Becker will announce whether they think Salt Lake City should make another bid for the Winter Olympics.

Herbert and Becker have reviewed the Olympic Exploratory Committee’s recommendation for an Olympic bid.

Meanwhile, the United State Olympic Committee is deciding whether to pursue a Summer 2024 or a Winter 2026 Olympic bid.
