WOODS CROSS, Utah -- A Woods Cross car dealership is hosting a food drive to benefit the Bountiful Food Pantry through December 22.

Murdock Chevrolet, located at 2375 South 625 West, is aiming to collect enough food to "Stuff the Mayflower."

People are asked to bring non-perishable food items and clothing to fill the semitrailer in the dealership's parking lot. They are accepting donations Monday to Saturday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

It will take about 25,000 pounds of food to fill the truck. That is equivalent to about four or five months of regular donations, according to a representative with the Bountiful Food Pantry.

The supplies will help people in need in Davis County through the winter. The next scheduled food drive in not until March.

A representative of the Bountiful Food Bank said items they can really use but are not often donated include diapers, baby wipes and spaghetti sauce.
