SALT LAKE COUNTY — A small experimental plane went down off of Interstate 80, about six miles west of the Salt Lake International Airport.

Salt Lake Int’l Airport spokeswoman Barbara Gann says the plane apparently lost engine power and went down. The lone pilot was able to walk away from the crash uninjured.

Utah Highway Patrol and Salt Lake Fire authorities responded to the scene.
