A man died Monday afternoon when he rear-ended a semitrailer in Box Elder County.
Utah Highway Patrol says the accident happened at 1:30 p.m. on northbound I-15, near mile post 360. Troopers say a Ford Escape hit a semitrailer from behind, killing the car’s driver and injuring the passenger.
The crash forced a lane closure on northbound I-15 as troopers investigated the incident.
The passenger was transported to a hospital. Neither of the victims’ names were released.
