SALT LAKE CITY - A candidate for Utah's First Congressional District was featured on Fox News Network Saturday morning.

Donna McAleer is running as a Democrat against Congressman Rob Bishop (R-Utah) in the general election. She is a West Point graduate and an Army veteran. She says her experience in the military adds an important dimension to her candidacy.

"Being in the military is all about the mission and putting the mission first, and putting the unit and the team above everything else. I think all of us are more concerned with patriotism and people than partisanship and politics," she said.

McAleer is one of ten female veterans running for political office; the highest number ever.
