UDOT's Beau Hunter spoke with Good Day Utah on Friday about road closures and other construction projects happening around the state over Memorial Day weekend.

In Utah County, the I-15 northbound offramp at Provo Center Street is closed through the end of June as part of the I-15 CORE project.

The I-15 northbound on- and off-ramps at 1600 North in Orem reopened Wednesday in time for holiday travel.

In Wasatch County, US-40 will see intermittent lane restrictions are scheduled in both directions near Jordanelle Reservoir.

Also in Wasatch County, US-89 will be restricted to one lane in each direction near the Deer Creek Reservoir. Barrels will be in place and the speed limit is lowered to 50 mph in the construction zone.

On I-84 in Morgan County between Mountain Green and Morgan, all traffic is shifted to the westbound lanes while crews reconstruct the eastbound lanes. One lane will be open in each direction. Loads wider than 12 feet are prohibited.

The Alpine Loop, a seasonal road that connects American Fork Canyon to Provo Canyon, opens on Friday. The road will remain open as weather permits, usually until early November.
