PROVO - Two Timpanogos Elementary kindergarten classes are getting recognition for taking their exercise indoors.

With the free Adventure to Fitness program, students virtually visit locations around the world while getting exercise.

"The kids go on what they call adventures or episodes to various places around the world," said Tierra Wakefield, Timpanogos Elementary. "It's a little bit about history but it's a lot about getting up and moving."

The two kindergarten classes have been recognized as leader in children's physical fitness by Adventures to Fitness, a media company focused on children's health and education.

The concept of stealth learning--where kids learn through a fun, engaging activity--is common in schools.

"I think it's been like that for a while - especially in the younger grades - hiding learning within having fun," said Wakefield.
