Some specially trained helpers taught a search and rescue team from Mexico in a specific emergency situation.

Using a mock-earthquake scenario, the Utah Canine Search and Rescue team combed rubble searching for people.  It is part of the Mexican team's training with 28 different task forces in the western United States.

Each of the dogs on the Utah Task Force One has received about $30,000 worth of training.  It takes thousands of hours of practice before they reach the status of a search and rescue canine.
