SANDY -- Police are looking for three family members they say were stealing eyeglass frames from various optical stores in Salt Lake County.

Police say the three suspects, Brenda Segura, her daughter Sarah Segura, and son Matthew Segura are being sought on felony theft charges.

Police say the three worked together stealing expensive, designer eyeglass frames from optical stores.

The manager at a Sandy-based optical store talked to FOX 13 last month about her experience with theft. Gail Henderson, from Apple Vision Eyewear, says eight pairs of Gucci frames, worth nearly $1,000, were stolen from her store. [See the previous story HERE]

After airing Henderson’s story and showing surveillance video of the suspects in action, police received a flood of email from FOX 13 viewers with tips. Those tips, and after going over multiple stores' surveillance video, helped them positively identify the suspects.

The suspects had previous criminal history so their charges were “enhanced” to felonies, says Sandy Police Sgt. Jon Arnold.

The three suspects now have arrest warrants out and Sandy Police are asking the public if anyone knows the suspects or their whereabouts to call 801-840-4000.
