Home in Cottonwood broken into, $50,000 in property stolen

COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS -- A burglar or burglars broke into a couple's home and ransacked their place on the 3300 block of Oakledge Dr., according to police.

Cottonwood Heights Police say a family member came home to find a back basement window broken and inside clothes were pulled out of drawers, mattresses were flipped over and about $50,000 worth of goods taken. Police say the couple are professional photographers and had many high-ticket items.

A neighbor saw a suspicious white minivan with some writing in the back window parked in front of her house.

Police suspect the criminals opened the garage and pulled their vehicle in and closed the door.
