TOOELE — More efforts to find a Dugway soldier missing for nearly a year are underway. Army specialist Joseph Bushling was last seen leaving the base the night of May 8.

After days of searching, Tooele County Sheriff’s deputies found the car he was driving abandoned and not too far from there was his hat.

And on Saturday a renewed search effort is underway in Utah’s West Desert near Pony Express Trail in Tooele.

Fifty horseback riders, 13 search dogs, 20 searchers or so on foot all looked for the missing soldier.

The search for the 26-year-old will continue Sunday unless they find him sooner.
