Power out in Sugar House after SUV crashes into pole

A crash in Sugar House cut power to more than 2,800 customers Friday afternoon.

A vehicle crashed into a power line near 1900 South and 1300 East, causing power to be cut to 2,800 Rocky Mountain Power Customers. That number had been cut down to 1,248 customers (zip codes 84106, 84105, 84101 and 84102) by 4:30 p.m.

Rocky Mountain Power does not have an estimated time of restoration for power.

No one in the vehicle was injured and officers don’t know the cause.
