A man allegedly robbed three fast food restaurants Wednesday night in three different communities south of Salt Lake City.

Police said the first robbery happened just after 7:30 p.m. at a Wendy's near 10600 South on Automall Drive, in Sandy.

Then the suspect robbed a nearby Subway near 4900 South and State Street in Murray about 8:30 p.m., according to police.

Finally, the suspect entered a KFC near 6900 South and Highland Drive was robbed at 9:30 p.m. in Cottonwood Heights, said police.

At all the robberies, the same description of a suspect was given to police and the suspect too a similar approach to get the money.

The suspect entered the restaurants around closing time and gave an employee a note which said he had a gun and wanted money from the register, or else he would hurt someone.

"The clerk complied, gave him the money.  The gentleman went out to a black four-door passenger car and left the scene," said Sgt. Jon Arnold, Sandy City Police.  No one was reported injured in the robberies.

The suspect is described as a white man in his early 20's, about 5 foot 4 inches tall with a medium build.  He has facial hair and was wearing a brown sweatshirt and jeans.

In February, police said they believed they had one of the two fast food bandits in custody.  The pair had been linked to a least a dozen of restaurant robberies in Salt Lake area.
