President's Day weekend is typically one of the busiest for Utah ski resorts, providing a boost to the local economy, but a dry winter season this year has many concerned about their bottom line.

Last winter was one of the snowiest in recorded history, resulting in one of the longest ski seasons ever in Utah, so officials say it's unfair to compare this year to last year's success. Still, resorts are holding their own so far, especially with visitors.

"Visitors love to come back to Utah. We have a really high return rate and I'm sure that everyone who comes starting this weekend through the rest of the season will still find that they'll still get that great Utah quality snow and experience," said Jessica Kunzler with Ski Utah.

Anticipated snowstorms are keeping the resorts near or at capacity this weekend and locals are hoping the upcoming snowstorm will jumpstart a busy second half of the winter ski season.
