Jimmer gets Jimmered in loss to Jazz

BYU alum Jimmer Fredette was welcomed back to Utah with a close 96-93 loss to the Utah Jazz Saturday night.

The 2011 NCAA MVP scored 14 points in the game, but missed a 3-pointer in the final seconds in the game to hand the Sacramento Kings (6-14) the loss.

Tyreke Evans scored 31 points for the Kings. DeMarcus Cousins and Jason Thompson added 14 apiece.

Gordon Hayward scored 21 and CJ Miles added 20 off the bench as the Jazz topped the Kings in the Energy Solutions Arena. Paul Millsap added 14 rebounds as the Jazz improved to 11-7.

The Jazz host the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday at 7 p.m. in the Energy Solutions Arena.
