The Salt Lake Valley Health Department announced on Wednesday a new public reporting telephone line for health regulation violations and complaints.
Residents can call about food poisoning, restaurant cleanliness, excessively polluting or smoking cars, public swimming pool violations, hazardous waste issues, noise and meth labs, among other violations.
“The initial phone call is a recording; you select which area you’re reporting about then you’ll be transferred to a live person during business hours,” said Nicholas Rupp, Salt Lake Valley Health Department.
Complaints can also be made via phone or website after hours. The phone line is 385-468-8888 and the website is www.slvhealth.org.
