High winds hinder travel, blow down trees, knock out power in northern Utah

Strong winds forced travel restrictions, toppled trees, tossed trampolines and knocked out power in northern Utah Monday. The Utah Department of Transportation prohibited high-profile vehicles I-80 eastbound and westbound from Lake Point in Tooele to Wendover at the state line (milepost 99 to milepost 1). The city of Eagle Mountain closed Eagle Mountain Blvd for several hours after high winds created whiteout conditions.
