Man killed, Washington Boulevard re-opened after crash at Canfield Drive

OGDEN, Utah — A West Haven man was killed Wednesday after a crash involving a car and a motorcycle on Washington Boulevard.

Officers responded to the intersection of Canfield Drive and Washington Boulevard at 4:12 p.m., according to the Ogden Police Department.

A motorcycle traveling northbound on Washington Boulevard collided with a westbound SUV that was making a turn from Canfield Drive onto Washington Boulevard.

The driver of the motorcycle, a 20-year-old man from West Haven, was declared dead at the scene of the crash. The man was wearing a helmet.

The driver of the SUV, a 73-year-old male from Ogden, was the lone occupant in the vehicle and was not injured.

The crash is under investigation, and at this time no citations have been issued. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released, pending notification of his next of kin.

The crash closed Washington Boulevard for several hours Wednesday.
