WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah - West Valley City Police continue to look for the suspect or suspects in a shooting that left two men injured and one dead on Tuesday afternoon.

“We’re talking to witnesses at this point and gathering evidence in the hopes that we can start to piece together what exactly happened here,” said Roxeanne Vainuku, a public information officer for the department.

Police went to the apartment complex at 3500 West Parkway Boulevard on a report of shots fired at 4:15 in the afternoon. They found all three victims but have not released the name of the man who was killed or those who were injured. However, a woman at the scene, who asked not to be identified, said one of the victims was her seventeen-year-old brother.

“We seen my little brother get carried away and they told us that he was still talking and still breathing,” the woman said.

No one has been arrested nor has a suspect description been given.

“The suspect or suspects in this case are outstanding,” said Vainuku.

West Valley City Police said that while investigating the events that led up to the shooting, they learned that multiple parties were most likely involved in "some sort of altercation." The individuals involved reportedly included both adults and juveniles.
