TAYLORSVILLE, Utah – Unified Police have arrested a suspect for murder and robbery after a man was killed in a Taylorsville apartment earlier this week.

Authorities booked Tonita Vianay Espinoza,  also known as Tonita Rico, into the Salt Lake County jail Tuesday night.

Officers also served a search warrant at a home near 1475 Gillespie Ave. in Salt Lake City.

Unified Police said 30-year-old Toussaint Tyler was killed at a Taylorsville apartment complex near 742 West Sunny River Rd. Sunday.

According to police, a “female suspect knocked on the door while the two male suspects waited around the corner.”

When the door opened, police say the men forced their way into the apartment while the woman remained outside.

After the crime, police were looking for a black Ford Mustang with gold wheels. However, on Wednesday Unified Police stated that vehicle has been ruled out as being used by the suspects.
