Ogden Police investigating three shootings

OGDEN, Utah – Ogden Police are investigating three recent shootings.

Ogden Police Captain Danielle Croyle said one shooting victim, a 28-year-old man is in critical condition.  He was shot in the head at 2:30 a.m. Monday. 

Lt. Chad Ledford said a suspect in a silver passenger car shot at the victim on the 900 block of 16th St.

Police have not released details on a suspect at this time.

On Sunday, just before 2 p.m., officers said someone in a silver car with tinted windows shot a man multiple times on the 700 block of Canyon Rd.

Neighbors told Fox13 News off-camera they witnesses the shooting. They said the man looked young and was shot in the pelvic area and leg multiple times.  That victim had surgery and is expected to recover. 

On Saturday, Ogden police were called to a drive-by shooting on the 200 block of 25th St. at about 11:45 p.m.

No one was injured in that shooting.  Three people were shot at and all three ran from the scene.  Multiple shots were fired and damaged three businesses and two cars parked nearby. 

Ogden Police said they would like to hear from anyone who might have information.

Police also said these three shootings over the weekend are not indicative of Ogden’s declining crime rate. They said their crime rate has dropped ten percent over the last three years.
