MIDVALE, Utah - Unified Police detectives are searching for an armed robber accused in the heist at a Midvale credit union.

Police have released images of the masked suspect.

You can't see the suspect's face but police said they are hoping someone might recognize the mask the bandit is wearing.

It's a full-face, rubber, Fu Manchu-style mask.

You can also see the suspect is waving what appears to be a black, semi-automatic handgun in the face of the tellers, possibly a Glock.

Detectives said the suspect drove a stolen Honda Civic up to the back door of the Utah First Credit Union at 6935 S. 900 E. Tuesday morning not long after it opened.

Police said, at around 9:20 a.m, the suspect barged through the back door, threatening everyone inside with a gun.

According to police, the suspect demanded the tellers fill a bag with cash before running out the back door and driving off in that stolen Honda Civic.

Authorities recovered the car in a nearby apartment complex.

Detectives say the suspect is described as six feet tall and stocky with a bit of a belly around the midsection.

Unified officers said they have a partial license plate number for the suspect's car: Y934V.

If any of this sounds familiar to you or if you recognize the suspect or his mask, Unified Police would like to hear from you at (801) 743-7000.
