‘Possible explosive device’ is from model rocket, Pony Express Parkway reopened

"Possible explosive device" on Pony Express Parkway in Eagle Mountain - Unified Fire Authority via Utah County Sheriff's Office

EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Utah – The Utah County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad said the “possible explosive device” in Eagle Mountain is a cone from a model rocket.

Utah County Sheriff’s Sgt. Spencer Cannon said it is likely harmless and it will be x-rayed as a precaution.

The device has been removed from the median of Pony Express Parkway and roads have reopened.
