Police identified the deceased Thursday as 27-year-old Brett Webster of Eagle Mountain.

Lt. Swenson of the Lehi Police Department says they were called to the scene of the crash in the area Thanksgiving Way and Ashton Boulevard around 4:50 p.m. Wednesday.

A press release from Lehi PD states that Webster was traveling northbound on Ashton Boulevard and another vehicle was in front of him, making a right turn onto Thanksgiving Way. As this was happening there was a white SUV at a stop sign at the intersection.

The driver of the white SUV said they didn’t see Webster due to the other vehicle turning right, and the SUV entered the intersection to make a left turn.

Webster lost control of the motorcycle while trying to avoid an impact with that SUV, and he was thrown from the motorcycle. There was no contact between the two vehicles.

Police say Webster was not wearing a helmet. The press release states he suffered severe head trauma and was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
