SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah — The city of Saratoga Springs has tweeted out that the Sage fire is 100% contained.

In the same tweet, sent out Saturday night at 10:30 p.m., city officials wrote that crews would remain at the scene of the fire overnight, to address remaining hot spots.

City officials first tweeted about the Sage fire North of Wride Highway late Saturday evening at 8:23 p.m.

Although traffic in the area had to be redirected due to smoke, the initial tweet indicated there was no threat to homes.

Unified Fire Authority tweeted out Saturday night that 17 apparatus from UFA,  Saratoga Springs, Cedar Fort, Lehi and the Utah National Guard were used to fight the flames.

Fox 13 still does not know what caused the fire or how big it grew before it was extinguished.
