MURRAY, Utah – A “mini-chopper” motorcycle has been returned to its owner in Murray after its theft was captured on video Monday morning.

Just after 6:30 a.m. Monday, the two bike bandits calmly walked up to the mini chopper, cut the ties holding it to a trailer and walked away with the bike.

Gavin Rees, the owner, said his father built it for him when he was a child and his dad passed away not too long ago.

Lisa Rees, a relative of Gavin’s, told FOX 13 on Tuesday that the bike had been taken apart, painted and sold, but they were able to get it back through the help of people on Facebook.

Aside from the monetary value, the owner said this mini chopper has a lot of emotional value.
