SALT LAKE CITY -- Residents have returned to their homes Tuesday after being evacuated for a gas leak Monday night.
Questar crews are at 800 East and Roosevelt extracting remaining gas from the road.
If residents find a yellow tag or caution tape on their door, contact Questar at (801) 324-5111 before going into the home to ensure it's safe.
Officials said the intersection at 800 E. Browning will be closed for the day as Questar crews continue to extract excess gas from the ground.
Salt Lake Fire crews had evacuated residents from Emerson to Bryan Ave. and everyone in a 70-foot radius of the gas leak.
