Avalanche in Huntington Canyon to close SR 31 for week

EMERY COUNTY, Utah – The Emery County Sheriff’s Office said SR 31 will likely remain closed until the first part of next week after a recent avalanche.

Officials said several more avalanches have occurred, trees have come down and snow is adding to the blockage.

According to Emery County, the area from Electric Lake to mile post 30 is impacted.
