SALT LAKE CITY -- Salt Lake City non-profit the Downtown Alliance is doubling the duration of Eve WinterFest this year.

The event is expanding from three days of activities and events to six days, from December 26-31.

“When we started this eight years ago we had a dream that we could expand to a weeklong celebration,” said Jason Mathis, the Downtown Alliance’s executive director. “So many of the activities are aimed at children, free entrance to Discover Gateway, free entrance to the planetarium, free entrance to the Leonardo.”

There is also a Jazz game included in the ticket. The Jazz have been a partner with Eve for three years, and this year they are giving away 1,000 tickets in the lower bowl seating area. There will be a ticket distribution strategy for that Jazz vs. Philadelphia 76ers game.

Ticket sales are expected to top out at 25,000 for Eve. A six-day pass for adults is $25.00 and children's tickets are $15.00. If you go into an America First Credit Union, though, you can get the same passes for $5 off.

There are also about 800 hotel packages listed on Eve’s website, where you will also find a list of events for each of the six days.
