PROVO, Utah -- Seniors who have made huge impacts on BYU's football program said goodbye to Cougar fans Saturday with a 28-10 victory over Utah State.

The school's all-time leading rusher, Jamaal Williams, returned to play his last game at home after missing three of the Cougar's previous four games. Williams rushed for a score to give BYU the lead in the second quarter and tallied 131 yards total on the ground.

BYU defensive back Michael Shelton also returned a 52-yard Kent Myers fumble for a touchdown in the first half to put the home team up 14-3.

But Taysom Hill, also playing his last game in Provo, threw a couple of interceptions, one of which set up a Damian Hobbs touchdown run right before the half. Utah State only trailed 14-10 going into the locker room.

But in the 3rd quarter, Hill would settle down and find fellow senior Mitchell Juergens for a score, which preceded some bad news.

Hill, who had his junior campaign ended early two years ago against the Aggies in Provo, perhaps ran into a case of deja vu. Early in the  fourth, Hill was trying to leap over a defender inside the red zone when he came down hard on his elbow.

Kalani Sitake announced after the game that Hill hyper-extended his elbow and will be re-evaluated on Monday.

Backup quarterback Tanner Mangum would come in and finish the drive with a 5-yard touchdown pass to Colby Pearson. The win keeps the Old Wagon Wheel in Provo. Utah State ended the season with only 3 wins and a five game losing streak.
