Passersby find man with gunshot wound in Taylorsville street

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah — West Valley City Police are investigating Thursday night after a passerby found a man with gunshot wounds laying in a street in Taylorsville.

Police said officers responded to the area of 2600 West Dutch Draw Road Thursday just after 7 p.m. after a passerby found a man who had been shot.

The victim told police the shooting occurred at an apartment complex at 3800  South Redwood Road in West Valley City. While the exact details are unclear, the victim said he was dropped off at the second location after the shooting occurred.

The man was taken to a hospital in serious condition, but he was later upgraded to stable condition. So far police have not made any arrests, and no details about potential suspects were available.
