DYERSBURG, Tenn. — Seven people were shot during a birthday party for a 2-year-old child in Tennessee Thursday night, and at least one woman is dead and a 6-year-old child is among the injured.
WMC in Tennessee reports a 6-year-old child was rushed to a hospital after the shooting, and a 21-year-old woman was dead when police arrived. Dyersburg is about 80 miles northeast of Memphis.
Other victims were taken to a nearby hospital, which has also been placed on lock-down as a precaution.
WMC reports the shooting occurred at a birthday party for a 2-year-old child, and police are currently searching for one to three people who may be responsible.
