This week I was on the road for what we are calling “Utah The Budahful”. Photographer Pete Deluca accompanied me on a southern Utah tour of some cities with sites and beautiful scenery, plus amazing people to boot.

Starting in the St. George area, we were able to take in 30 years of pie-making traditions at Veyo Pies, and we learned how to relax at the Green Valley Spa.

In Cedar City we stopped at the Garth & Jerri Frehner Museum of Natural History on campus at SUU, and the Richfield High School Wildcats showed us why they are deserving of our Cool School of the Week by putting me in a death mask.

My first ever visit to Moab started at the first bike shop, Rim Cyclery. It was also my first visit to Arches National Park Thursday, and I was in awe with the amazing landmarks and scenery while making new friends in my boy Kelby. The week ended in Price at the Utah State University Eastern Prehistoric Museum, where I got to work on a 20 million-year-old dinosaur fossil…WOW!!

The Carbon County Boys and Girls Club ended the trip with a feel-good story about the community coming together to raise more money money in this year’s fundraiser than all the fundraisers from the last seven years.

I can’t wait to get home and get back to a regular schedule. I am so proud to be living in such a beautiful state with people as friendly as they come, and, no, they are not missionaries.

Thanks to everyone for their ongoing support, click here to follow my Losing for Life journey.
