WEST JORDAN, Utah - The election results are still prompting walk outs at high schools across the country, including one here in Utah on Thursday morning.

About 100 students participated in a walk out at Copper Hills High School in West Jordan, which began just before 10 a.m.

For almost two hours, students shared their thoughts and concerns in front of the crowd and supported each other with cheers.

The students who spoke to Fox 13 said, since they're not old enough to vote, they had to find another way to have their voices heard.

“We felt like there was an outcry of people who did want a place to share their voice and share how this election made them feel, and we saw a bunch of other walk outs all across the nation and thought that we could definitely do something like that here,” said Emma Fryer, a student who participated.

The students went on to say that this was another way to help them cope if they felt affected by the results.
