SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Supporters of Evan McMullin gathered for a rally Saturday morning at the Utah State Capitol.
McMullin is running for the office of U.S. president as an Independent.
The conservative Utah native’s candidacy has changed Utah from a red state to a contested state.
A new poll conducted by Utah-based Y2 Analytics shows Republican, Donald Trump leading with 33 percent of the vote, with McMullin trailing with 28 percent of the vote, and Democrat, Hillary Clinton lagging behind with 24 percent of those polled saying they would vote for the former Secretary of State.
