ST. GEORGE, Utah — A student at Dixie State University was arrested Wednesday and faces felony charges for sexual exploitation of a minor after he allegedly uploaded child pornography.

The St. George News reports 18-year-old Decius Christopher Tho Duran was arrested after authorities received tips alleging someone was uploading videos of girls between the ages of 6 and 8 being raped by adult men.

Police tracked that online activity to an IP address at the University-owned Abby Apartments, and after officers served a search warrant at his residence, Duran admitted to viewing and sharing child pornography.

St. George News reports Duran told police he is already a registered sex offender for abusing younger female relatives and manufacturing child pornography in Alabama. Visit St. George News for more on this story.
