Man seriously injured after car hits bicyclist in Centerville

CENTERVILLE, Utah — A 69-year-old man suffered serious injuries Thursday afternoon after he was struck by a car while riding a bicycle in the area of 400 West and Parrish Lane in Centerville.

Lt. Von Steenblik of the Centerville Police Department said the man was struck while in the intersection of 400 West and Parrish Lane around 3 p.m.

Centerville Police Department stated on Twitter that westbound Parrish Lane was closed at 400 West due to the crash. Around 3:50 p.m. they tweeted the intersection had been cleared.

The cyclist suffered leg injuries, but he was conscious and breathing when he was transported to a hospital in serious condition.
